The aim of the hi-hat controllers is to provide information to the drum module about the transition between open and closed hi-hat position. The Padtech hi-hat controllers can be mounted on the hi-hat stand and sensing the movement of the hi-hat opener rod on which -in case of an acoustic drum- the upper hat is mounted. Providing excellent resolution due to the stepless sensing - the feel is almost identical to an acoustic set, thanks to the traditional stand and definite closing pressure.

Continuous, stepless sensing between fully open and fully closed states
Pressure sensing in closed state (if the drum module supports this feature)
"Chick" (closing and holding) support
Heel-splash (closing and immediate release) support
Built-in calibrator unit to enable calibration without using the drum module's menu
Can be mounted on a traditional hi-hat stand, no need for tools or experience
Barely noticeable due to it's small form factor and restrained design
A perfect match for the SH-12 hi-hat

Compatibility

The PE hi-hat controllers can be mounted on hi-hat stands with upper rod diameters of 19, 22 or 25 mm. (3 different adapter rings included with the product).
